Intra-articular or soft tissue paper brass of betamethasone shot is indicated as short-term adjunctive therapy in acute gouty arthritis, acute and subacute bursitis, acute nonspecific tenosynovitis, epicondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and synovitis of osteoarthritis. The medical care may also be given intralesionally in patients with alopecia areata; discoid INSTANCE OFconstellation erythematosus; keloids; localized hypertrophic, infiltrated, inflammatory lesions of granuloma annulare, fungus planus, skin disorder simplex chronicus (neurodermatitis), and psoriatic plaques; and necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum. It may also be useful in cystic tumors of an aponeurosis or tendon (ganglia).
